5 Drawbacks to Blogging

As like most things there, are some disadvantages with blogging. The first disadvantage that I am going to talk about is that most blogs are not interesting. Many people write things that are only interesting to them and no one else, or if they have something fascinating to say they don't write it in a captivating way. This is a disadvantage because one might have the interest to start getting into blogging and reading other people's blog, however, once they start doing so they get bored and just go to something else. 

Another disadvantage of blogging is how time consuming it is. Writing in general is a very time consuming task. Having to update your blog regularly is like writing an essay regularly; it is going to use up very valuable time. Most people just don't have the time to write a blog, especially with one's with something interesting to say which ties into our first disadvantage. A lot of people when they get on the internet they want the process to be smooth and quick. A blog may be smooth, but it is not quick, leaving many blogs left not updated and abandoned. 

The next disadvantage is rude people. Many people who are Tiny Tim's in person become Jacked Johnny's on blogs. They say very rude things that they would never say in person. This happens all around the internet and not just blogs. People who write blogs and then get nasty comments can leave their feelings hurt. Cyber-bullying leaves some people hesitant in making a blog because they are afraid what people are going to say to them. It is sad how mean people can be on each other's blogs.

A fourth disadvantage is becoming anti-social. Even though blogging can be considered a social thing sitting in front of a computer a lot can have bad effects. This does tie-into the second disadvantage I mentioned, since blogging is time consuming some people become so wrapped up into it they aren't around they're family and friends as much as they should be. 

The last disadvantage is spam. Spam is annoying anywhere you see it and if you are working really hard on your blog and you keep getting spam advertisement in your comments it can become discouraging. Almost all people who blog on a regular basis run into spam at some point. There definitely needs to become away to prevent spam even though it is so hard to control.
